Overview: The Ferebee Hope Playground was a design-build project in the neighborhood community of Washington Highlands. In addition to new playground equipment, a new safety surface was provided to insure the security of users while in the playground area.  Other improvements around the park area included new game and picnic tables, concrete walkways, signage, drinking fountains with bottle fillers, benches, new exterior light fixtures, repainting of the existing wood benches and concrete ramp walls, new fencing and handrails railing.  Also, ADA improvements included a new concrete ramp.  A stormwater drainage infrastructure was installed under the play areas and a community garden with cedar garden beds, storage shed, hose bibs and demonstration tables were installed.
